Meet Madalaine Munro

Madalaine Munro, Sexologist

I weave together pioneering science and ancient wisdom to help you resolve trauma, connect to your sexuality and create nourishing relationships.

Working with people of all genders and sexual orientations to create greater intimacy and connection in their lives, and to move through any fears. I fuse together my training in Somatic Sexology, Psycho-sexual Therapy, Neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory & Attachment and Trauma theory.

We all want to love and to be loved. Yet sometimes, our learned behaviours surrounding love no longer serve us.

I will support you on a journey to create that love from the inside out, so that you can embody the love you are looking for in others, and therefore create healthier relationships with deeper intimacy and connection.

Your deepest pleasure, fulfilling relationships and embodied life are awaiting. Are you ready?

Madalaine’s story

I am in deep gratitude for this work as it totally changed my own life, therefore I cherish and appreciate each client deeply as I know the courage it takes to show up for our healing.

Having experienced unhappy and unhealthy relationships and developing damaging coping mechanisms which perpetuated the pain I was feeling, I came to my healing lost but knowing there must be another way to experience life, intimacy and relationships.

Firstly, I trained in Counselling, Coaching, and as a Yoga Teacher and Nutritional Therapist. I developed a Holistic Health practice with the intention of helping people to heal all areas of their life from the inside out.

While doing this, I realised I myself had a challenge in my life - sexuality. I had dedicated much time to silent retreats and my spiritual studies, and while I was studying with the Dalai Lama in India, I realised that my yearning for spirituality and personal development had led me to a fork in the road. I was questioning where to go next - do I need to become a Nun to find enlightenment? I was in my early 20s and was thinking - is this it now? I knew I was more comfortable sitting in silence, meditating for 10 hours a day than I was sitting intimately with other beings.

I knew my next step was to make a conscious decision to delve into the area that most scared me - intimacy.

I made a choice to heal my wounds around intimacy, sexuality and relationships, and wow - what a journey! I worked at healing a fear of intimacy and sexuality, and let go of codependency and relationship wounding. Trauma that I thought I would be stuck with, healed and made way for love, compassion and deep meaningful connection with others. It was some of the most transformative years of my life.

This is why I chose to train professionally in this field as I know first hand how powerful this work is.

“I have been Vice-President of the Association of Certified Sexological Bodyworkers.

I believe in the power of community for collective support and wisdom. I embark on roles beyond client work, to create a stronger field of Sexuality & Relationships and what I hope is a more compassionate informed world.”
